Mystery Chest Hunt is a 72-hour treasure-seeking event where 1,000 hidden chests spawn across the World Map. Players must decipher clues, explore dangerous zones, and compete to claim the most valuable loot before others.

Clue System

Players receive cryptic clues every 6 hours to help locate chests:

Clue Types

• Coordinate Hints - Partial grid coordinates (e.g., "X: 2X5, Y: 1XX")
• Landmark Clues - "Near the abandoned bridge" or "By the old water tower"
• Distance Markers - "Within 500 tiles of Zone Alpha"
• Alliance Hints - "In territory of a Top 10 alliance"
• Riddles - Poetic clues requiring interpretation

Discovery & Claiming Process

1. Locate Chest - Use radar or manual exploration to find chest icon on map
2. Reach Chest - March to chest location (may encounter zombies or enemy players)
3. Unlock Chest - Takes 60-300 seconds depending on tier
4. Defend While Unlocking - Other players can attack to steal the chest
5. Claim Rewards - Rewards sent to inventory upon successful unlock

Treasure Map Mechanics

Special Treasure Maps can be found or purchased:

• Common Map - Reveals exact location of 1 Common chest
• Rare Map - Reveals exact location of 1 Rare chest
• Epic Map - Reveals exact location of 1 Epic chest + estimated time until claimed
• Legendary Map - Reveals exact location of 1 Legendary chest + current unlock status
• Ancient Map - Reveals all Mythic chest locations (only 10 exist in game)

Chest Stealing Mechanics

Players can attack others who are unlocking chests:

• Attacker advantage - If attacker wins, they take over unlock progress
• Defender advantage - Original discoverer gets first claim if they survive
• Third-party interference - Multiple players can compete for same chest
• Alliance protection - Alliance members can defend unlock attempts
• Shield immunity - Cannot steal from players with active peace shield

Event Schedule & Chest Spawns

• Day 1 (00:00) - Event starts, first 400 chests spawn
• Day 1 (12:00) - Additional 200 chests spawn
• Day 2 (00:00) - Another 200 chests spawn, first Mythic chest appears
• Day 2 (12:00) - Final 200 chests spawn, all 5 Mythic chests now active
• Day 3 (00:00) - No new spawns, race to claim remaining chests
• Day 3 (20:00) - Final 4 hours, unclaimed chests begin to glow (easier to find)
• Day 3 (23:59) - Event ends, all unclaimed chests despawn
